Word of Mouth

What our students say...

 YEAR 7

- I decided to come to Clover Park because there was a Samoan class

- I came to Clover Park because it was a bully-free school. It has been awesome and fun.

- When I came to this school at the beginning of the year it was cool, and the best school I have ever been to and now and it’s still the best!

- The thing that made me choose Clover Park is that you can talk in two languages. I am enjoying having to work hard.

YEAR 8

- The thing I like about Clover Park is that there is always someone there to help you.  I am very honoured to be learning at this school.

- I like that Clover Park is a middle school and I can stay here until Year 10.

- The teachers are the best! I like that everyone in the school is strong about their culture.

- I liked that when I came to this school I was looked after by a senior student. I enjoy all my school work and I think I am doing well.

- I like Clover Park because they encourage you to always work to a high standard.

- I like the way of teaching where I now have the opportunity to learn my mother tongue.

- I can ask the seniors for help and can talk to the teachers about anything.

- I like that, as well as learning our school work in English, they also teach us our cultural traditions and our identity.

YEAR 9

- I have been in New Zealand for 3 years. I like Clover Park because it is a safe school to study at. It has staff who are so caring. Clover Park provides me with a wide range of programmes and activities which extend my learning. All junior and senior students work together as a family.

- I have started at this school in Year 9 this year and I am fitting in really well. What I really like about this school is the friendly and happy faces I see daily.

YEAR 10

- I like that I have been able to be here from Years 7 to 10. Clover Park is preparing me well for College.

- The thing I love about Clover is that I learn something new every day. I’m looking forward to achieving my goals and I have achieved a lot from this school. One of the things I have learned from being at this school is that education will always be part of my life. I want to leave this school knowing I am a good role model and that others can look up to me and ask me for help.

YEAR 13

- Tupuranga is a place where you can be yourself and you can be Maori in a Maori environment. Out in the real world people struggle to be who they are, I feel really privileged to be a part of such a unique school

- Te Whanau o Tupuranga is not just a school it is whanau-based, and whanau doesn’t have a set time from 9-3. It’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Tupuranga has done a lot for me and I will never be able to repay that back.

- It’s hard having more responsibilities and having to step up to the plate as a senior - but if Tupuranga has taught me anything it is that “what you set your mind to becomes your reality.”
